Entertaining and gastronomic manifestation during Vinistra
Wine Nights, an event that will be held in Poreč from May 6th to May 13th, is bound to make Poreč a must-visit destination for all aficionados of the world famous Istrian wines and the exquisite local cuisine by bringing together an array of winemakers, local delicacies, food, wine and entertainment in one place. By organising this event, the leading Croatian tourist company Valamar Riviera in collaboration with the City of Poreč, the Poreč Tourist Board, Gastro Tim and Fusio as sponsors and a number of local caterers, will provide all visitors to Vinistra and other wine aficionados with a top notch accompanying programme ranging from a one-of-a-kind food and wine offer at selected catering establishments and restaurants in Poreč to tastings of premium wine, local delicacies and a diverse entertainment programme on the promenade.
What makes Wine Nights Week truly special is the Wine&Gourmet offer, which will make a selection of world-renowned Istrian wines and recognisable local specialities available at promotional prices at the best bars, restaurants and nightclubs in Poreč. Wine Nights will allow everyone enjoying the Wine&Gourmet offer to participate in a prize game and win attractive prizes by collecting stamps in a “wine passport“. Visitors will be able to collect stamps in the wine passport during tastings at the Wine Nights tent on the promenade.
The culinary offer will be enriched with the Wine&FineDine programme at Spinnaker restaurant where foodies and wine connoisseurs will have the opportunity to enjoy a blend of interesting dishes and carefully selected wines from May 11th to May 13th. The elite chefs Nenad Kukurin, Mario Postružin and Damir Modrušan will be in charge of preparing the meals, while the wines will be selected by Valamar's expert sommeliers.
Wine Nights Week will culminate in a presentation of the renowned and the latest wines produced by ten top winemakers, which will begin on Thursday, May 11th and last until Saturday, May 13th. In order to make the tasting of unique Istrian wines even more enjoyable, visitors will also have the chance to try a variety of Istrian dishes. In addition to tasting wine and local specialities, Valamar Riviera's sommeliers will be revealing enological secrets every day by telling short stories about wine.
The night programme of the Wine Nights event, which will take place on the promenade, is free of charge and will provide diverse and abundant entertainment with musical sensation The Frajle, stand-up comedian Željko Pervan, who will have the audience in stitches with his wine-related bits, Croatian soul diva Natali Dizdar and performances by the bands Neno Belan & Fiumens and Crvena jabuka.
