aMORE festival of the Sea is the first festival within the region which is entirely dedicated to sea and which intertwines and brings together art, culture, science, sports and entertainment.
The Festival’s goal is to draw attention to environmental, social and cultural importance of marine ecosystems as well as to human activities causing their degradation all with the goal of their preservation.
aMORE aims to raise the level of public awareness and to improve the relations developed and cultivated between local communities, visitors, tourists and sea. aMORE wishes to contribute to the activation of more mindful and responsible communities and tourists / travellers, whose collective action can contribute towards fulfilling The Global Goals for Sustainable Development, in order to preserve this priceless and crucial resource of ours.

1. PHOTO EXHIBITION – A Sea of Possibilites
Selected photos from the photo contest
On the occasion of the first edition of aMORE Festival, we organized an international photographic contest that draws attention to the environmental, social and cultural significance of maritime ecosystems and the causes of their degradation, all with the aim of preservation.
The contest was open to all the photographers, both amateurs and professionals, regardless the photographic technique used.
The exhibition of selected materials and accompanying materials wishes to provide an insight into a wider spectrum of topics related to sea, highlighting the various confronted challenges.
2. MULTIMEDIA EXHIBITION – Where does the Sea begin?
Sea, as the perennial and inexhaustible inspiration, always invites the deep reflection on oneself and existence in general. Selected authors portray the different and more intimate images of sea, through different media.
