On October 20th 2024, Poreč will host the biggest triathlon in Croatia and Southeast Europe – Plava Laguna Ironman 70.3 Poreč, Istria, Croatia.
The route begins with a swimming section (1.9 km), and the start itself is at the Poreč Zelena Resort, in front of the Parentium Plava Laguna hotel. It continues with a cycling section (90 km) on the route Poreč - Višnjan, which will be driven partly on the closed Istrian Ipsilon- highway and will therefore enable the achievement of personal best results. The last, running route, starts at Zelena Resort and leads to the center of the old town of Poreč and back (21 km).
