Traditional touristic festival that takes place for the 40th time during the first weekend in September. Saturday is dedicated to sports activities: international mini-marathon, international football tournament for veterans. Meanwhile, at the school playground, famous musicians entertain all the generations until early in the morning. Children from the elementary school of Tar organize a prize giving lottery supported by the humanitarian aid association ‘‘Valsanta’‘.
On Sunday afternoon, after the parade of the Brass Band along the streets of Tar, there will be the expected traditional donkey race, followed with great enthusiasm and joy, especially by the youngsters. During the afternoon hours, there will be the Brass Band concert, while the musicians are in charge for the evening entertainment.
The entire touristic festival, from the first morning hours, has a rich gastronomic offer of high quality local home made products.
Anyone who has tasted a brunch, lunch or dinner prepared at our touristic festival, at the stand in the municipality yard, had only words of praise. The offer, which is at favourable prices, can satisfy the most demanding gourmets.
There will be also local exhibitors who, like always, through their exhibition and sale of traditional local products, make our tradition and culture closer to everyone.
