Free shuttle bus service for cycling enthusiasts connecting Trieste and Poreč
As of 23 April 2022, Trieste and Poreč are connected by a new free of charge shuttle bus for passengers and their bicycles. Aimed at tourists and cycling enthusiasts, this service has been developed within the Italy–Croatia cross-border cooperation project MIMOSA (Maritime and Multimodal Sustainable Passenger Transport Solutions and Services) and is intended for all those looking for an active break from their work week.

The aim of the project is to improve the overall quality, safety and environmental sustainability of maritime and coastal transport by promoting multimodality throughout Croatia and Italy. The main objective of the project is to develop green options of passenger transport in order to reduce the negative consequences of heavy private-car use.
The uniqueness of this line is that the bus is equipped with a bicycle trailer and will be completely free of charge for all users during the specified period, provided they register and book it in advance.
