14. The salon of Bishop Polesini

The salon of Bishop Polesini from the late 18th c. is filled by Baroque decorations dominated by green. Bishop Polesini had his predecessor’s coat of arms, placed in the central medallion on the ceiling, painted over to show his own. In the Baroque period, there was another salon on the opposite side of the large hall, similarly embellished and of the same size. This can be seen from the remnants of the bas-relief stucco on the ceiling.
