This summer become a SeaStar Hero
Enjoy a unique project that combines care for the undersea and tourism and become a SeaStar Hero - explore the undersea, have fun and do a good deed for nature, while at the same time achieving numerous benefits!
This summer, we offer you the opportunity to get to know Poreč and its undersea in a completely new way - you can do good, win prizes and become a famous SeaStar Hero. In our tourist offer we are introducing an activity that allows us to do a good deed for our planet, and by participating you can show how caring for nature can be fun, stimulating and accessible to everyone. Engage in collecting waste from the sea and preserving the marine environement in a fun way.
How to participate?
Track down the locations to pick up your equipment at one of the five Poreč beaches with the Blue Flag (Špadići – Materada, Donji Špadići, Gradsko kupalište 1, Gradsko kupalište 2 and Brulo Beach)
Participating is easy – just go to the person in charge of safety on the beach, i.e. the lifeguard, announce your participation, pick up net and protective gloves and start diving and removing waste from the sea. Every diver who brings back the equipment and the surfaced waste to the person in charge of safety on the beaches, wins a symbolic award in form of a badge whereas divers who collect a larger amount of waste win a t-shirt. Participants who win the t-shirt also win the SeaStar title, which for 1 day grants them benefits in catering facilities throughout the city.
